The Aldine, or the books published by the Venetian Printing presses by Aldo Pius Manutius Sant’Agostin’s district, are among the most sought after by bibliophiles and books from university and civic libraries.

In 20 years of activity 1494-1515 Aldo oversaw the publication of more than 130 works of Greek, Latin, vulgar and gave to the press the most beautiful book of the Renaissance “Hypnerotomachia Poliphili” the first picture book.
